(Deputy) General Manager reporting to the COO

Our client (The company) is one of world's largest outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide founder more than 20 years ago. The company has operations in 144 countries across 5 continents. The company is backed by one of the largest Private Equity houses in the world.


The company is looking for a DGM/GM to:


1. support the COO – MENA in overall management of the region including performance management, strategy development, stakeholder management etc.

2. focus on improving overall regional performance and achieve specific business goals by providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis, competition and market research.

3. Analyze internal business verticals and work on overall strategy projects on behalf of the Office of the COO – MENA.


Responsibilities:


  • Conducting research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the market, industry, and competitive landscape for MENA
  • Developing strategic plans and recommendations based on the findings of the analysis, and working with key stakeholders to prioritize and implement those plans
  • Support the COO – MENA in overall management of the region, budgeting/targeting, performance tracking and strategy development.
  • Prepare the COO – MENA for all meetings, calls, etc. – especially important are all BD, Regional BRC / MRMs. This includes scheduling meetings / calls as required, preparing presentations / documents, ensuring the COO – MENA has all relevant information for these meetings / calls and ensuring management of Minutes (preparing Minutes, and tracking of the action items).
  • Track industry trends, competitors, potential business opportunities through online and other channels
  • Prepare and design business presentations to meet the business requirements for COO’s office for MENA region.
  • Study, observe, analyze various proposals regarding expansion, diversification, new business streams, product mix, etc.
  • Supporting business units and departments by providing analytical Full support and insights on key performance metrics and identifying areas
  • for improvement.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the MENA region.
  • Supporting weekly/fortnightly/monthlybusinessreviewsacrosslevels (region, product, and geography) and analyse the inputs.
  • Assist BD colleagues with information related to client missions, operations, and services offered in the region.
  • Prepare documents, notes and analysis ahead of COO meetings with external & internal parties / business targets
  • Perform deep dive analysis of inbound/outbound travel numbers for various countries within the MENA region.
  • Be the subject expert on competition analysis and communicate market intelligence


Requirements:


  • Minimum: Graduate or global equivalent.
  • Experience: 6-12 years’ experience in business analysis / consulting experience.
  • Relevant experience in analyzing industry trends and maintaining large data sets.
  • Experience working in consulting firms or similar roles or strong consulting background i.e. Bain, McKinsey, EY, PwC, BCG.
  • Strong organization and functional competencies.
  • Knowledge & Key Skills:
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Excel skills.
  • Expert in data gathering, number crunching and maintain large sets of data.
  • Proficient in analyzing key industry trends and presenting business impact.
  • Business acumen and digital fluency.


Location: This role is to be based in Dubai, UAE. Relocation provided.
