We are recruiting a leadership role - General Manager Operations for our MNC client, one of the world's largest outsourcing and technology services specialists, dedicated to serving governments and diplomatic missions globally. Founded over 20 years ago, the company operates in 144 countries across five continents.
This is an important operations leadership role to strategically oversee internal operations in such a way to sustain and enhance business growth aligned with the company's strategy. Manage regional business operations and expansion, including account management, marketing, and contract negotiation. Develop, monitor, and control annual budgets for the division.
Location: Algiers, Algeria (This role requires relocation to Algeria)

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee administrative and functional aspects of local and regional Business Units.
- Team leadership experience to oversee more than 200 members across offices.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the operations annual budgets for the division, monitor cash flow and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis.
- Oversee short and long-term financial, managerial goals and reporting.
- Ensure achievement of EBITA (Financial goals) set for the Units / Department.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs with internal and external customers.
- Implement and maintain effective controls for monitoring operational performance.
- Establish and enforce operating objectives, standards, and conduct.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for operational excellence.
- Implement and assist in developing policies for Safety, Security (Information & Physical), and Environmental compliance and ensure the highest standards of safety and security are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies, conducting risk assessments and reviewing procedures.
- Identify new revenue sources and develop business enhancement strategies.
- Maintain relationships with Diplomatic Missions and drive continuous improvement through innovation and cost-effective processes.
- Implement effective people management, development, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Ensure Internal Customer (Employee) Satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure personal & professional development of team through necessary training and seminars.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Creation of a talent pipeline (1: 2 ratio) of successors.
- Monitor and ensure that all Gen AI Projects / Programs are running as per agreed schedule.
- Ensure that the organization’s sustainability targets are achieved.
- Ensure judicious use of natural resources.
- Adhere to the environment health and safety policy / objectives and guidelines of the organization.
- Manage special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the management.
Experience and skills:
- 12-16 years of work experience in Travel / Hospitality industry, with the last 5 years in a senior management position.
- Possess cross-domain knowledge and experience in areas such as Human Resources, Information Technology, Administration, Finance, and Operations within a large, geographically dispersed organization.
- Demonstrate expertise in strategic planning and execution.
- Ability to take initiative, innovate, and take a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, environments, and demands while maintaining flexibility and resilience in the face of challenges.
- Ability to provide vision, direction, and guidance to teams and individuals, empowering them to achieve their full potential and contribute to organizational success.
- Proficiency in staying current with emerging digital trends and adapting to new technologies.
- Postgraduate or Global Equivalent Degree in a related field.
- French and English language fluency essential.
